This line-interactive UPS system provides reliable battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, surges and line noise that can damage your valuable IT equipment. The SM5000RT3UTAA is ideal for large and small network devices, storage and security equipment in labs, network closets, and server rooms and data centers. The field-replaceable, hot-swappable VRLA battery modules allow you to work through short power failures and give you enough time to safely save files and shut down your system in case of a prolonged blackout. Switchover from line to battery power happens within milliseconds to maintain continuous operation of connected equipment without interruption or rebooting. Extra runtime is available by connecting extended battery modules.
Built-in AVR corrects abnormal voltage conditions without using the battery. The SM5000RT3UTAA maintains regulated 208/120V nominal output during brownouts and over-voltages from 151V to 260V while keeping the battery fully charged and ready to take over in case of power failure. Pure sine wave output power ensures maximum stability with sensitive equipment. The WEBCARDLXE enables access to advanced features like switchable load banks, automatic email messaging on power events, and full remote control of the UPS. The IP-based Auto Probe feature ensures network uptime by communicating with other network devices and automatically rebooting IT equipment when a loss of connectivity is detected.
One L14-30R, one L6-30R, two 5-20R, and ten 5-15R outlets provide connected equipment with pure sine wave AC output and allow you to monitor total power consumption. Power provided by these outlets is filtered to protect connected equipment against damaging surges and line noise. Eight 5-15R outlets are individually programmable load banks that let you shed non-critical loads to extend runtime for critical loads. Rear cooling fans help protect the UPS from overheating. This UPS system filters out disruptive electromagnetic and radio frequency interference that can inflict hardware damage or data loss. This EMI/RFI filtering also helps your connected components perform better and last longer.
The LED front-panel monitoring display features 5 LEDs that allow quick view of UPS and site power information. LEDs show UPS status: a green light means utility power is on and flashes in Standby Mode when charging the battery without AC output. When the AVR LED (Green) is on it means the UPS is automatically boosting or reducing incoming AC voltage to nominal values. The tri-color Load status LED indicates low levels and flashes red when UPS is overloaded. The tri-color Battery Charge Level LED indicates battery charge level in Line Mode and battery capacity remaining in Battery Mode. The red Battery Replace/Fault LED indicates an active alarm or fault. The control panel rotates to accommodate both rack-mount and tower configurations.
