This dual-monitor Thunderbolt 3 to DisplayPort Adapter (M/2xF) connects the Thunderbolt 3 port on your computer, tablet, laptop, notebook or MacBook to two 4K DisplayPort monitors simultaneously. Or, if you need even more resolution, it also transmits a 5K audio/video signal to a single DisplayPort monitor.

With this Thunderbolt 3 adapter's high bandwidth of 40 Gbps, you can more efficiently run applications that demand heavy resources. For instance, editing 4K video is easier with one monitor used for raw video playback and the other displaying your fresh cut. Home/office multitasking is more efficient with two monitors placed side by side on your workstation. And your video presentation or digital signage looks vivid and enticing in stunning 4K.

This 4K dual-monitor DisplayPort adapter supports Ultra HD video resolutions up to 4K x 2K (3840 x 2160) at 60 Hz for crystal-clear picture and sound on two DisplayPort monitors. Or you can connect to one 5K monitor at video resolutions up to 5K x 2K (5120 x 2880) at 60 Hz for an even sharper image. The MTB3-002-DP is compatible with HDCP 2.2 and DisplayPort 1.4 standards for carrying HDR (high dynamic range) signals. It also supports 4:4:4 chroma subsampling for top-level PC gaming or using your HDTV as a PC monitor, as well as 48-bit Deep Color (16 bits per channel). Because the adapter supports both video and audio, no additional cabling is needed for sound.

Unlike traditional USB cables that connect in only one direction, the reversible male connector plugs into a Thunderbolt 3 port in either direction for a fumble-free connection every time. Thunderbolt 3 is eight times faster than USB 3.0 with four times the video bandwidth of HDMI. Note: if connected to a USB-C port, this adapter will not provide video output. It works only if connected to a Thunderbolt 3 port.

The plug-and-play adapter requires no software or external power. Just connect the built-in cable to the Thunderbolt 3 port on your source device, and use DisplayPort cables to connect the adapter to your display(s). Because the adapter is backward compatible with non-4K displays, you can use it with 1080p monitors or other available displays, making it a convenient tool to carry in your laptop bag or backpack for use anywhere.
