This active converter helps you transmit digital audio and 4K video from the DisplayPort 1.2 output on your desktop computer, Chromebook, MacBook, Microsoft Surface or other compatible device to a 4K HDMI-enabled television, monitor or projector. It’s ideal for working in high-definition photography, videography or cinematography, as well as streaming video for digital signage in crystal-clear 4K. You can continue using your existing HDMI display without the expense of a new DisplayPort monitor.

The specially designed HDMI connector firmly grips the HDMI port on your equipment to help prevent accidental disconnection and signal disruption. With greater port retention than typical HDMI connectors, this gripping connector resists vibrations that can loosen over time. This is especially helpful for ensuring components stay attached in difficult-to-access installations.

The cable supports Ultra HD video resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 (4K x 2K) at 60 Hz with rich, full 7.1-channel surround sound. It’s compatible with HDMI 2.0 standards for carrying HDR signals, which provides a wide range of vibrant colors with richer contrast, brighter whites and deeper blacks. HDCP 2.2 compliance allows you to stream iTunes and Netflix content with no complications. This cable supports 4:4:4 chroma subsampling for top-level PC gaming or using your HDTV as a PC monitor.

With the DisplayPort-to-HDMI repeater/booster built directly into the DisplayPort connector, no bulky mid-cable adapter hinders installation through furniture or in hard-to-reach areas.

The plug-and-play cable requires no software, drivers or external power. It is compatible with both Single- and Dual-Mode (DP++) DP output and is recommended for use with graphics cards that do not output DP++ signals, such as the AMD Eyefinity. It is backward compatible with 1080p displays and pre-1.2 DisplayPort sources, allowing you to use it with older equipment.
