Getting Details
This multi-display splitter connects three 4K or 8K HDMI monitors, projectors or televisions to the DisplayPort output on your laptop or desktop computer. Recommended for digital signage in schools, churches, trade shows, hotels, office conference rooms, restaurants, bars and retail outlets, the B156E-003-H8K-K helps you create video walls, give audio/video presentations in front of large audiences or stream 4K/8K video to multiple locations.
By connecting the DisplayPort input to a source that supports DisplayPort MST Mode, you may connect three monitors simultaneously. This allows you to display the same image on each monitor, extend your host desktop across all monitors or combine all monitors into one large display as a video wall. LED indicators let you know which monitors are receiving an AV signal.
The B156E-003-H8K-K supports Ultra HD resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz per monitor with 12-bit Deep Color and 2-channel LPCM audio in extended desktop and mirror modes. In video wall mode, it supports expanded resolutions, including 11520 x 2160 at 60 Hz (3x1 vertical configuration) and 3840 x 6480 at 60 Hz (1x3 horizontal configuration). The B156E-003-H8K-K is compliant with HDMI 2.0 standards and is backward compatible with previous versions. Note: When in video wall mode, it is recommended to use monitors of the same brand and model to ensure full functionality.
The B156E-003-H8K-K supports HDR (High Dynamic Range), providing a wide range of vibrant colors with richer contrast, brighter whites and deeper blacks that pop on your 4K display. HDCP 2.3 encryption allows you to stream 4K content with no complications. This extender kit also supports uncompressed 4:4:4 chroma subsampling for top-level PC gaming or using your HDTV as a PC monitor.
Power over Cable (PoC) technology powers the remote receivers over Cat6 cable. LEDs on both the transmitter and receivers will light up to indicate the system is receiving power and a signal is being transmitted. PoC lets you avoid the hassle of bulky power bricks and gives you the freedom to place the receivers away from an AC outlet.
Just connect your source device to the splitter with a user-supplied DisplayPort cable up to 15 feet (4.6 meters). User-supplied Cat6 cables connect the splitter and the pigtail receivers, which connect directly to the monitors’ HDMI input. No software or drivers are needed. Plug the splitter’s external power supply into a compatible AC outlet. Four international plug adapters (North America, Europe, U.K., Australia) are also included. Rugged metal enclosure comes with detachable brackets for mounting on a level surface.
The B156E-003-H8K-K is compliant with the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA), which makes it eligible for GSA (General Services Administration) Schedule and other federal procurement contracts.

A computer with a DisplayPort 1.4 compatible graphics card (e.g. AMD Radeon with AMD Eyefinity Technology). Backward compatible with most DisplayPort 1.1a equipment running current graphics drivers. The feature set is limited to that of the attached equipment (e.g. you may be limited to displaying in clone/mirror mode only). Compatibility with older graphics cards is not guaranteed.
Mac OS X does not support MST for NVIDIA and Intel graphics processor units, limiting video display on the connected monitors to mirror mode.
DisplayPort 1.4 bandwidth is 32.4 Gbps. Higher resolution monitors take up more bandwidth. Although HDMI monitors support video resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 on individual monitors, the number of 4K monitors connected at the same time is limited.
