Ordering Information
Recommended for data centers, network service providers and large enterprises, this managed PDU with built-in network interface provides advanced network control and remote power monitoring with the ability to turn on, turn off, reboot or lock out power to each outlet. You can more efficiently manage network power consumption, maintain proper load balance and remotely reboot locked network items without having to visit the site. Reducing the number of on-site visits can help lower the cost of data center maintenance, thus lowering the 0U PDU's total cost of ownership.
During normal operation, 36 individually controllable outlets 30 C13 and six C19 in three load banks distribute AC power to rack equipment. Each 200-240 V outlet is accompanied by an LED that illuminates when the outlet is ramped up and ready to be used. The outlets and banks can be individually monitored to ensure proper load levels and load balancing.
Innovative IsoBreaker technology prevents the need to power down multiple devices when surges occur. In the event of a power surge due to an overload at an individual outlet, the load bank's circuit breaker trips only that outlet instead of the entire bank. This helps maintain uptime of servers and other critical equipment, avoiding a costly work stoppage.
The THDv waveform capture feature is ideal for installations in which highly specific input voltage distortion measurements are critical, such as data centers, hospitals and airports. It identifies and captures the PDU input voltage quality by taking a 200 ms waveform snapshot that triggers based on a THDv criteria. The THDv waveform capture trigger will capture 100 ms before and 100 ms after the trigger criteria. This helps provide precise input readings and accurately report line noise to help you diagnose power problems and avoid future downtime.
The built-in network interface with the PowerAlertDevice Manager firmware (PADM20) provides enhanced remote management capabilities, including customizable dashboard graphs to fit user preferences. The PADM20 upgrade and PowerAlert Element Manager (PAEM) software form a powerful tool for expanding maintenance functions in large installations, including firmware update checks and backup and restoration of device configurations. PADM20's Auto Probe feature allows a PDU with switched loads to automatically reboot devices if a network communication failure is detected. This preserves uptime and minimizes the time and expense associated with on-site support.
An easy-to-navigate color touchscreen LCD reports a detailed analysis of PDU input/output data per phase, per bank and per outlet. It also provides information on energy consumption and peak power demand. It can generate a unique QR code to allow read-only access to the PDU via mobile device. If an EnviroSense2 module (sold separately) is connected to the PDU, the LCD also displays its status and environmental data, such as temperature and humidity.
The 1.8-meter (70-inch) 0U PDU mounts vertically using the pre-installed toolless mounting buttons or the included brackets. Spare buttons are also included. Use the included PDUMVROTATEBRKT kit to install the PDU with outlets facing the rear for better airflow or equipment access. A 3.1-meter (10-foot) cord with IEC-309 60A Blue (3P+E) 3-phase input connects the switched PDU to a compatible AC power source, generator or protected UPS.
