This is 1000-feet of Category 5e Plenum rated, solid, 4-pair, 24AWG bulk patch cable, suitable for 10BaseT and 100BaseTX Fast Ethernet and 1000BaseT Gigabit Ethernet connections.

Solid cable is used for premise (in wall) applications, i.e. faceplate to patch panel, etc. It's designed to be "punched down". Plenum-rated cable features a smoke-resistant plenum jacket that's often required by local fire codes for installation in the air plenum above drop ceiling tiles.
