The APC Smart-UPS RT 48V external battery pack SURTA48XLBPJ connects to the APC Smart-UPS RT uninterruptible power supply SURTA1500XLJ (available separately). Together these units provide extended protection against blackouts, brownouts, sags and surges reaching your computers, servers, and other sensitive electronic equipment. The SURTA48XLBPJ contains two maintenance-free, sealed, leakproof, lead-acid batteries with suspended electrolyte in an enclosed battery cabinet. Battery life is expected to be 3-5 years. A maximum of 10 battery packs can be used with the UPS.
